WGS Electrical has successfully completed the full electrical and fire alarm installation package for a new Boots Opticians franchise on Rickmansworth High Street, Hertfordshire, working as electrical subcontractors to Kiddie of Southport. Delivered within a five-week fast-track programme, the project included a new split-load distribution system with integrated metering, full LED lighting, BS 5266-compliant emergency lighting, a BS 5839-compliant L3 fire alarm system, structured data cabling and DALI dimmable lighting controls within the consultation rooms. The installation also incorporated power and communications infrastructure for digital media displays, Wi-Fi systems, HVAC equipment, electronic shutters and illuminated signage. Designed and completed in accordance with BS 7671 and Boots internal specifications, the project provided a modern, energy-efficient retail and clinical environment featuring consultation rooms, dispensing areas and customer facilities.
