We are pleased to have recently commenced an 11-week scheme for Wallgreens Boots Alliance at Stansted Airport (airside). We will be delivering a full store refit, bringing it in line with their current travel format specification.

Works include the installation of new shopfront fascia and signage, including a three-sided wrap-around digital screen to the entrance column. The break-out, removal, and replacement of the existing ceramic floor, and the construction of a new ‘Order and Collect’ room – completed with vinyl graphics. A seven-metre steel-framed, free-standing feature wall will be constructed on the sales floor, enabling the self-service checkouts to be relocated and increased in number, fed by enhanced Cat5e network cabling.

The fit-out includes the creation of a false effect sales floor ceiling void, new illuminated signage and installation of new low energy, intelligent Dali controlled lighting and emergency lighting. It will offer clean and ambient light levels, remote monitoring and testing, and lower ongoing running costs. The existing healthcare area will undergo a ‘reinvigoration’ with new fixtures and fittings. Boots own beauty brand NO.7 will be updated, with the back-of-house areas given a refresh to complete the scope.

We are collaborating closely with the client and the retail team to minimise disruption, as the store continues to trade throughout. Works are being carried out behind hoarding over three phases, with temporary layouts to the sales floor maintaining the customer journey.

The project is due for completion at the end of March.

We are happy to be working with Lewis & Hickey Architects, Underwood Carpenter Project Management and KSA Structural Engineers.
